About the Role:
You will lead the technical transition of an outsourced international Remote Infrastructure Management (RIM) department into a UK business without operational or business disruption. Once the transition has occurred, the role will then move to support the integration and mobilisation of these activities into the current IT infrastructure. This will involve being responsible for the configuration of the company IT estate, bespoke systems and in-house applications and ongoing support of regular changes, upgrades and updates. There will also be responsibility for aligning the outsourced process and embedding these processes, checks and routine maintenance resolutions, into the current ways of working. You will be the Subject Matter Expect on integrated RIM function once in the UK.


* Lead the technical transition of all aspects of the IT Infrastructure from international RIM to UK
* Analysing and compiling integration plan to embed RIM processes into UK business
* Planning and coordinating training plans to support new team and internal colleagues with upskilling and knowledge transfer of configuration of IT estate
* Lead input into IT architecture and design
* Responsible for the delivery of project related technical change
* Effective documentation and maintaining all IT related technical documents
* Maintaining effective security across all IT systems and devices
* Responsible for IT Disaster Recovery

About You:

You'll have substantial demonstrable experience of technically leading an Infrastructure management team along with substantial experience of, and in depth understanding of, current IT infrastructure concepts and technologies with the proven ability to implement and support the following:

* Microsoft Windows Server platforms and related technologies - Server 2008R2/12, Exchange, Active Directory & Group Policy, SQL database
* Redhat Linux, SAN storage (EMC & Eternus), Backup (Netbackup), Archive (Enterprise Vault), Virtualisation (VMWare and SRM), Citrix XenDesktop, Enterprise Monitoring, Secure printing, Web services, Desktop infrastructure (including laptop Operating System Gold builds, HP Thin Clients and Windows phones)
* Websense, Microsoft EOP, Voice and data networks - LAN (Cisco switches), WAN (MPLS, Cisco ASA firewalls, Juniper Firewalls), WIFI
* Security, Anti-virus (Symantec), Scripting / Automation, Enterprise Monitoring, Disaster Recovery, New deployments, upgrades, migrations and patching

You'll have a professional qualifications and/or demonstrable experience relating to the technologies above and must have worked in, or had experience of working with IT hosting providers or managed service providers, along with experience of working with internal IT teams and 3rd party providers.

You'll be able to communicate with all levels of the organisations and be able to articulate complex technical issues and concepts to the wider business. You'll be able to make sound decisions in sometimes pressurised critical situations
