For this Math's Teaching Assistant position you must be a graduate with a strong academic background, with a degree of 2:2 or above in a Math's related subject and GCSE's of grade C or above in English and Math's. You will be an enthusiastic Math's graduate who has a naturally encouraging personality and strong relationship building skills, allowing you to engage with students.The first 2 terms will allow you to develop your interaction skills with pupils as a Math's Teaching Assistant , where you will lead small groups of pupils. This opportunity will also expose you to different classroom and behavioural management skills to observe, building up your portfolio of skills and expertise.

During the following 2 terms your responsibility will increase and you will transition for being a Math's Teaching Assistant to undertaking an unqualified teacher role, teaching 0.5 timetable (50%) constantly improving your core skills in the classroom. In the final 2 terms you will teach a 0.8 timetable that will complete your development into an outstanding practitioner as you successfully achieve Qualified Teacher Status and a PGCE from the University of Buckingham.
