Exciting opportunity for a high calibre, senior finance professional, a proven business partner at executive level, to join this leading B2B organisation as Finance Director for Europe ($500M). This is an all-encompassing FD role offering the successful candidate strategic and commercial input / decision making whilst leading a best in class' finance function across the European entities of this US listed business. Based in central London, with some day travel each month (2 days approx), the key purpose of the role is to provide financial guidance to the Managing Director, Europe and oversee a robust FP&A / Commercial Finance function.

Reporting to a charismatic and highly regarded CFO, key accountabilities include:

• Delivering well constructed operating plans and budgets that are clearly communicated and owned by the business
• Understanding true business performance, updating forecasts appropriately and performance managing the business to agreed targets
• Owning and driving relevant supporting processes e.g. real estate and capital allocation, pricing decisions, sign offs on key deals
• Being key business partner to MD Europe e.g. supporting decision making, anticipating and highlighting key issues, being a sounding board etc
• Being a key member of the Europe senior management team
• Where relevant owning the M&A process for acquisition and divestment
• Liaising closely with tax and treasury teams to ensure both are appropriately managed within the region
• Ensuring robust financial control
• Ensuring timely and accurate financial and management reporting
• Developing the local finance teams and ensuring strong succession paths
• Being a key member of the senior finance team within International, contributing to specific initiatives
• Reporting into this role will be the country finance managers and the three functional Heads (Head of Accounting / Control, Head of FP&A, Head of transactional services) from the European countries

This is a unique opportunity to really add value as the business completes its recent finance transformation programme and partner the MD for Europe to further increase the success of the European operations of this US listed organisation.

The successful candidate, a qualified Accountant with an excellent career to date, will possess first class communication skills and a broad finance skill set - with a proven FP&A and Commercial Finance background and demonstrable senior business partnering capability. European experience is desirable, not essential and prior US GAAP exposure is useful although not directly relevant to this role specifically.
