A Grammar school based in Chatham are looking for a teacher of Geography to start in September 2017

This "good" Grammar school in Chatham, Kent are an forward thinking and oversubscribed school for students aged 11 - 19. They are a state funded senior school and the students' achievement is good. They make good progress and results are improving at both GCSE and A level. GCSE attainment is significantly above average and at A level results are above average too. Students feel exceptionally safe and their behaviour around the school is excellent. Their conduct, manners and punctuality are exemplary making it a great place to work.
Your new role
You will be a Qualified Teacher of Geography that has had experience of teaching their specialism from KS3 though to KS5. You will be required to start as soon as possible, five days a week and this post will be full time and permanent. Planning and marking is expected in this role and you will be responsible for ensuring the effective teaching and learning of pupils and be confident in your abilities to teach across all key stages. The school is looking for an exceptional teacher who can create a supportive, encouraging and safe learning environment for pupils of all diverse backgrounds.
What you'll need to succeed
In addition to working well with students, you will also need to be able to demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach to working within a school environment and with other members of staff. You will need a passion for teaching Geography and willingness to promote learning. Another important and key factor is that extremely strong behavioural and classroom management skills.
