Governance and Compliance Manager
I Am Recruiting a Governance and Compliance Manager for a prestigious scientific membership body based in Central London. The successful candidate will have strong experience of assisting a Board of Trustees with meetings, elections and legislative and regulatory advice in the not-for-profit sector. This is a full-time, permanent position.
This role requires that you maintain up-to-date knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment, to ensure that the organisation is compliant with all necessary requirements. The successful candidate will provide appropriate inductions and ongoing training to Trustees, and ensure governing documents are reviewed and updated regularly.
You will organise the smooth running of AGM and committee meetings, and manage the election process. You will take ownership of agendas, content and decision-making at meetings, and ensure that actions are completed within agreed timelines. The successful candidate will also assist with the compiling of the Annual Report.
The successful candidate will be able to get stuck in and jump in at the deep end. This role does not have any administrative support, so the ability to do your own administration is essential. Candidates must demonstrate an excellent standard of writing meeting minutes, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior staff and across organisations.
The successful candidate will be highly organised and capable of juggling multiple priorities at once. You must demonstrate excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and should have good interpersonal skills.
