DS62 – RF and Sat Com Support Engineer

Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a RF and Sat Com Support Engineer on behalf of their clients, A market leader in Medical, Vacuum Sciences, Aerospace, Defence and Architectural Engineering sectors. As a RF and Sat Com Support Engineer you have the opportunity to join an experienced team within a rapidly expanding company.
This Role would suit ex-military personnel. However, applicants from all backgrounds will be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assemble mechanical and electrical assemblies IAW issued drawings.
* Performing Factory Acceptance Tests.
* Assembly of the final product at the customer premises, On-Site Assembly Testing & Validation.
* Provide feedback to the design team for further development of the product.
* Provide support to customers via email/telephone.
* Assist with pre-sales support including specification, documentation, presentations.
* Liaise with customers in respect of maintenance issues, annual servicing & Warranty work.
* Maintain standards of technical excellence within the department.
* Post-Sales support, including training

Skills and Responsibilities:
* It would be advantageous if the candidate held, as a minimum, a HNC (or an equivalent qualification) in an engineering related discipline.
* Experience of Down-converters/Up-Converters, HPA, LNA, GPS, Circuit diagrams, electrical diagrams.
* Relevant experience in electronic/electro-mechanical assembly.
* Competent in the use of hand tools, wiring, and soldering.
* Competent working in an RF test environment.
* Competent in setting up test equipment.
* Competent is debugging/fault finding and providing feedback to the appropriate persons.
* Knowledge of Electronic principles and testing.
* Demonstrable fault finding skills.
* Experience of Continuous Improvement tools and techniques.
* Be willing to travel worldwide for up to 3 weeks at a time, 4-5 times a year.
* Able to work under own initiative to deadlines.
* Full UK driving licence
