Funded by Bristol Ageing Better, St Monica Trust are recruiting a Community Development Worker for the Stockwood Communities in Transition project. The role involves working with the local community in Stockwood, to facilitate and vibrant hub of activities that meet the needs of people aged 50+ and empower them to influence decisions.

Are you looking for a new challenge?
Working with our lead partner, the Southern Links Children’s Centre and others, the Community Development Worker will manage and deliver the project effectively to improve outcomes for people aged 50+ using an Asset Based approach. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced community development worker with a good understanding of the issues facing older people.

Naturally you’ll be a people’s person, able to strike up conversation and have a positive and professional communication style. You’ll be able to demonstrate your commitment to our values, dignity, respect, honesty, care and trust, through your work.

The post holder will predominantly work from an office base in Stockwood, with frequent travel to St Monica Trust premises in Bedminster, therefore it is essential that you have a drivers licence and access to your own transport .
