Due to continued growth one of London's most dynamic and ambitious Housing Associations are looking to appoint an Finance Manager. This well respected organisation is in a strong financial state and are well positioned for growth and expansion, something they are hoping the new Finance Manager will be able to assist them with.

Reporting the Financial Director, the Finance Manager will manage a team of 6 and will be responsible for driving change and improvements in financial practice across the business. As the successful candidate, you will bring commerciality, insight and new ideas about supporting complex change within the varied projects. Previous experience working within Social Housing is essential for you to be considered for this role. This is a challenging and exciting role that will see you sitting within the organisations impressive Executive Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering business intelligence, timely reports and business cases
  • Supporting quality improvement and service developments
  • Managing the divisional finance team
  • Working with the Operational Managers to continually improve financial performance
  • Monthly financial reporting and forecasting
  • Assisting the Directorates on various projects such as business planning
  • Improving process and reporting
  • Cost Improvement program development and monitoring
  • Staff management and training
  • Building relations with non-finance stakeholders
  • Business intelligence using trust information systems

Key Skills:

  • You will be a qualified Accountant
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and be a strong team player
  • Confidence and able to quickly establish solid working relationship with wide variety of stakeholders
  • The ability and willingness to respond quickly and positively to change; identify and implement change in response to business needs
  • The ability to think logically or laterally, and using ingenuity to remove or get around difficulties
  • The ability to work flexibly across service areas and with partners to achieve the priority outcomes of the Council
  • Previous industry experience working within Social Housing is essential
