We have a permanent vacancy for an experienced Materials Planner, this is a critical role and Interviews will take place week commencing the 24th April. You must have Automotive experience and excellent working knowledge of using SAP. The successful candidate will have the following
Good communication skills
Excellent attention to detail skills
Good knowledge of MS Office , Internet Explorer , ERP system (eg . SAP ), CAQ systems (eg . Palstat)
Excellent organizational skills
Demonstrable numerical and analytical skills
Skilled at process improvements
Skilled in customer management

Duties-Not exhaustive

Ensure MRP runs in line with the defined cycle
Check MRP action and error messages prior to schedule update
Release supplier schedules in line with the defined release cycle
Expediting material in line with the release schedules including delivery date and time.
Effectively communicate with Suppliers to ensure On Time In Full (OTIF) deliveries
Process and escalate to management where deviations from delivery plan impacts on operations or cost
To track all non-standard costs Inc. freight and part cost and communicate in designated format
Working closely with Logistics Planning
Ensuring the material release plan is in line with the defined Inventory plan
Gathering the required Inventory, Freight cost and supplier delivery performance data to fulfil the Key
Working closely with suppliers and internal customer(s) to execute an optimal logistics plan
Analysing current and future trends, data and reports
Making sure the customer non-sequence plan is sent weekly to production
Ensuring the supply base receives regular, clear and accurate demand information
Be responsible for making the business aware of any risk due to supplier potential delivery concerns

Inbound freight planning
Contract management
Material procurement
Inventory control
Maintain data integrity in SAP system
Stock take activities

You must be prepared to participate in any training and development required for the needs of the business
