Senior Systems Administrator - Central London. The Ashdown Group have been engaged by a Global energy firm, in their search for a Senior Systems Engineer to join their growing team. Headquartered in the heart of Central London, you'll be maintaining and administering this organisation's IT Infrastructure whilst providing 3rd line support to an internal user base.

This role requires a high calibre IT professional who has a broad ranging skillset as the responsibilities are varied. Taking the reins on the entire IT infrastructure, you will have the responsibility of supporting Windows Server 2013/2016, VMware, Microsoft Azure and Office 365. You should also have strong networking abilities as you will be expected to maintain a layer 7 firewall among most other networking duties.

In order to be suitable for this role of significant responsibility you MUST have demonstrable expertise in the management of a virtual environment using VMware. You will also have proven experience with NetApp SANs, including familiarity with the ONTAP storage operating system. In addition to this, you must be able to confidently work in a cloud based environment, supporting numerous applications, such as Office 365, Dropbox and Skype. In addition to this, you will have a deep understanding of SQL, Active Directory, Exchange and SharePoint from a support perspective, coupled with the interpersonal skills required to act as a mentor to junior members of the IT Team.
