IT Field Service Engineer

Human Capital Ventures are proud to be recruiting on behalf a Market Leader in Healthcare Technology for an IT Field Service Engineer to deliver new customer implementation along with support and maintenance services to existing to the highest possible standards working closely with the companies’ wider business departments such as customer service, sales & implementations.

As Field Service Engineer you will work on a national basis attending customer sites to install, troubleshoot and maintain computer, medical, and imaging equipment on behalf of our customer completing sign off sheets and keeping a record of works through our customers CRM System.

Prior to works you will contact the customers to introduce yourself, arrange convenient times and gain insight on the customers’ requirements. Be self-sufficient about scheduling, route planning and reservation of accommodation and processing of expense. During your down time and when not on assignment you will be encouraged to remain up to date with our client’s technology and applications along with industry news to maintain & increase product knowledge. You will partake in customer site surveys, prior to installation, for layout & equipment & prepare this information in an Installation Site Survey document, whilst be providing exceptional customer service & support within company standards and guidelines.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • 3-5 Years IT Systems Engineering with electrical/component based knowledge a plus.
  • Ideally educated in an Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical and/or IT related discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows based systems administration
  • Experience in Servicing and Installing Equipment, Computers, and Software.
  • Good all-round troubleshooting Hardware, Software & Connectivity.
  • Excellent Communication Skills (verbal & written)
  • Prior experience working in a field capacity.

Applicants must hold a full UK Driving license and be able to lift and transit heavy items of up to 50Lbs in accordance with health and safety policies and be willing to travel nationally, sometimes at short notice with the requirement to occasionally stay away.

Location: Midlands based + National Travel

Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 per annum
