An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join a growing drinks company based in South West London. The role will suit someone who can hit the ground running and is capable of implementing their own financial procedures. This is a great opportunity for an individual to grow and develop within a company


Your Role:

  • Supervise the Cash Flow forecast and assist in the decision of cash management
  • Management of the purchase ledger. This includes ensuring all supplier invoices are coded accurately and processed in Sage 50 Accounts on a timely basis
  • Supplier statement reconciliation and monthly review of account payable ledgers
  • Maintain filing systems for all invoices, expenses, purchase orders, statements and any other documents, including maintaining the archiving system
  • Management of the sales ledger. This includes credit control and preparing monthly debtors report with commentary for management review
  • Liaising with debtors on outstanding balances and resolving any payment issues
  • Accurate posting of accruals and prepayments
  • Manage accounting closing procedures (monthly, quarterly and year end)
  • Generate the Management Accounts for the entire group and per individual retail outlet
  • Process VAT returns and other Government returns as required
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, including depreciation and amortisation 

Your Skills:

  • A diploma in Finance or Accountancy
  • Skilled in Sage 50 Accounts
  • Understanding of information management
  • Understanding of accounting policies and practices
  • Information technology skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Analysis, risk management and budget managing skills 
  • Experience of providing written and oral advice to Director
