Reed Sales are seeking an energetic and organised Sales Engineer to support and drive global enterprise sales efforts. The position is based in Colchester, Essex on a full time permanent basis.

Monday - Friday
Salary £30,000-40,000 based on experience
25 days holiday + Bank holidays

The successful candidate will support direct and channel sales efforts in the US, Canada, Middle East, and the Asia Pacific. You will be working directly with Account Executives and international distributors to close large enterprise sales of connected safety products that will save lives. You will be surrounded by a talented team of product developers, sales professionals and marketers to help bring new technology to an old market.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for actively managing the sales demo process as a critical piece of large enterprise deployments.
• You will support multiple account executives and distributors and manage up to 60 concurrent projects around the world.
• You will provide occasional sales training and technical sales support to key distributors located around the world.
• You must be able to quickly establish meaningful relationships with key decision makers and ensure products are understood and properly demonstrated to the customer to solve their specific safety needs.
• You will write proposals and respond to RFP and RFIs on occasion.
• You will prepare reports and pilot project summaries to establish how the company have met and exceeded customer requirements and KPIs.
• Develop roll-out plans and work with the Onboarding Managers to ensure the adoption plan is achievable.
• Develop other sales templates and processes as required to support a growing sales organisation.
• Support product improvement by providing customer feedback to the development team.


• Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to solve customer problems
• Excellent time management and organisational skills, ability to manage multiple deliverables and projects at once.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable as part of a dynamic and fast paced company.
• Comfortable jointly delivering corporate level presentations.
• A strong understanding of business, the decision making processes of large enterprises and experience or an aptitude for complex sales processes.
• Comfortable with technology including GPS, GSM, web applications, ability to learn the product line quickly
• Experience working as a technical sales representative, safety professional or engineer.
• Readiness to travel abroad up to 6 weeks per year including 1 weeks training in Canada within the first month of starting.
