Business Development Executive - Maritime and Shipping Business Intelligence

Job Description
This FTSE listed company currently has an exciting opportunity in their London office for an ambitious Sales professional looking to join a world leader in Maritime Business Intelligence. This is a great opportunity to tap into a vibrant, open market to bring in new business with support from the team.

The client company delivers insightful research and analysis on issues across the Maritime & Shipping sectors.

Their Business Development professionals are responsible for representing the Best in Class Maritime Intelligence, predominantly driving subscription sales to high-profile global clients. You will be joining a leading team where they pride themselves on growing the business and delivering the best service in the market.

In this role you will be expected to:
*Build and execute Business Development Strategy in collaboration with EU Head of Corp Accounts and BD
*Meet and exceed monthly revenue targets by proactively sourcing prospects, opening and closing new business for the related BI products;
*Cold call new prospects and target existing customers for upsell opportunities;
*Contribute fully to the objectives of your Division and achieve the personal objectives set by your manager

Ideal candidate will possess the following:

*Minimum of 2 concurrent years' strong results from a B2B sales role (essential)
*Relevant Maritime/Shipping knowledge or experience in selling Market Intelligence or subscriptions to C- level executives
*Basic sales skills such-as opening, probing, benefit selling and closing
*Experience of mastering or an alternative Sales CRM
