A leading UK based Highways Construction and Engineering Business is looking to hire a Project Manager to work on a high-profile Infrastructure Project based in the Birmingham area.
The role will require the day to day liaison with the Client Project team in order to ensure accurate vetting, proposals and ensure that specific responsibility for any permanent or temporary works is handled efficiently.
This role requires a skilled Project Manager who is strong within stakeholder management and communication, as well as being a highly proficient in terms of technical ability.

* Responsible for day to day liaison with the Client Partner in regards to delivery proposals, planning, progress and monitoring of projects
* Reviewing and challenging proposals, proposing alternative solutions, and responding to consent and approvals in a timely manner
* Ensure that the most innovative and potentially successful proposals are sought out and where possible achieved
* Review key milestones and manage delivery risks and dependencies
* Enact risk mitigation with escalators when necessary and develop contingency plans
* Identify and maintain professional relationships with key project stakeholders. Ensure regular checkpoints take place to build trust, update on progress, and address any concerns.
* Applying robust project management and change control principles
* Commission and manage where appropriate suppliers and expert consultancy support, setting clear expectations for outcomes, health and safety performance, time, cost, and quality
* Report progression and highlight reports and assessment
* Attend meeting with key stakeholders

Required Skills and Capabilities:
* The ability to meet any and all project management requirement for the project
* Demonstrate a clear experience of successfully delivery projects within the infrastructure environment
* A track record in successfully challenging approaches to delivery, and a track record in proactively looking for new approaches to delivery with a focus on improved health, safety, time, cost, quality and customer experience
* Demonstrable experience reviewing project plans and programmes and stage plans
* Experience working within a multiple stakeholder environment
* Understanding, application and experience of business case and risk management processes
* Plan and manage deployment of physical and financial resources
* Build and sustain effective communications with stakeholders, peers, and customers
* Apply sound safety, governance and quality management principles and processes
* Good communicator, ability to influence and coach others, excellent team working
* Creative and proactive problem-solving skills
