A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Internal Sales Professional to join an established and vibrant sales team based in Aston.

The main purpose of this position is to become responsible for the management of major contracts and develop both the relationships with the accounts and increase spend.

You will have the full guidance and support from your sales manager but also have autonomy to plan your own activity and work to your own sales strategy and objectives.

Salary = £22-24,000 per annum + good prospects to progress and annual salary reviews

Duties include:
- To meet and exceed annual sales and margin targets. 
- To maximise any customer enquiry both in terms of price and other services that can be offered.
- To perform all required sales activities in the office including answering telephone calls in a professional manner; taking enquiries from new and existing customers; making pro-active calls; quoting for customer requirements; raise and amend sales orders, back to back purchase orders and purchase requisitions; allocate stock; agree delivery dates taking into account current processing and transport availability; entering all
relevant information on our ERP system and CRM.
- Identify potential new business opportunities
- Respond tactically to changes in market conditions
- For your allocated accounts keeping fully up-to-date on all relevant information, changes and requirements.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with allocated sales accounts. 
- To work with the Sales Manager, Sales Director and the Business Development Managers in pursuing/developing all relevant business opportunities.
- To develop relevant market knowledge to achieve a wide range of cross-selling opportunities through added value processes
- To meet customer KPIs and specific contractual requirements
- Handle customer complaints / disputes and investigate thoroughly to establish the cause. Seek management advice on & take appropriate remedial action as necessary
- Liaise with credit control to ensure sales accounts remain within terms
- Assist in the preparation of the annual Budget process for your targeted accounts
- As and when required to entertain customers; attend any required training and courses, attend conferences
and any other exhibitions and business events.
- Act as an Exemplar salesperson and present a professional image, behaving in line with corporate values both
internally and externally at all times
- Ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to and are communicated to all operations staff
- Support stock check including any reasonable duty required
- Other tasks and activities as deemed necessary by the Sales Manager.

The ideal candidate:
- Must have previous Account Manager or Sales experience
- Ideally from an engineering, manufacturing, aerospace or steel background
- Needs to be computer literate
- Must be a quick learner
- Can work to own initiative and think on their feet
- Ability to plan sales strategies
