So, I'm sure you know what a Senior Systems Engineer / Senior Technical Support professional does. Due to continued and rapid growth, the company now seek two Senior Systems Engineer / Senior Technical Support Engineers with knowledge of GNU / Linux systems and network administration, Cloud Systems like AWS, Microsoft Azure and/or OpenStack and good knowledge of Hardware (Server, Network, RAID).
The role will offer lots of variation and is very customer focused. On one day, you could be involved in installation and administration of data warehouse clusters and monitoring, change and incident management of internal and external customer systems by day. By night, you could be going for dinner with one or more of your colleagues at one of the many excellent London cafes and restaurants nearby. The next day you could be working on investigation and solution of issues in tandem with the product support and the development team and automation and improvement of the deployment, configuration and reporting processes. Followed at night by one of the many social events that the company puts on. Outstanding communication skills are a must as you will be communicating with customers most days. A Degree education is preferable
Skills and Experience Required
- GNU/Linux systems and network administration
- Cloud Systems: AWS, Microsoft Azure and/or OpenStack
- Good knowledge of Hardware (Server, Network, RAID)
- Installation and administration of data warehouse clusters
- Monitoring, change and incident management of internal and external customer systems
- Investigation and solution of issues
- Automation and improvement of the deployment, configuration and reporting processes
- BA/BS degree preferred
£55000 to 70000 base + pension + life assurance + healthcare + holidays
