This leading £100M TO industrial and commercial business manufactures, distributes and sells premium interior products on the global market and has a reputation based on quality and delivery. They now wish to appoint two experienced Area Sales Managers for locations in the North of the UK who can drive sales in the appointed areas of the Newcastle and Glasgow regions.

Salary: £28,000 - 33,000 p.a + Bonus + Fully Expensed Car + Extensive Benefits

The Role

Reporting directly to the Sales Director, the Area Sales Manager will establish and retain new business relationships with customers and to also work alongside the national account team on larger projects, specifically raising the company's profile. The main duties will involve;

Developing and maintaining targeted accounts
Developing sales of core products, specialist products and acoustic systems
Research, target, cultivate and open new accounts, ensuring that they develop profitability
Utilising leads from the branches and suppliers
Liaising with suppliers and converting leads to orders
Monitor competitor activity and report on this to their Branch / Line Manager
Project tracking
External customer calling
Full use of CRM System
Sales achievement in terms of budgeted sales, margin and contribution to profit
Customer retention and feedback
Responsible for results in sales and margin
Raising company's profile
Maintaining accounts within the geographical area
Responsible for managing projects between branches and the national accounts team

The Person

You will be a proven sales professional with previous B2B and / or B2C sales experience and able to travel and work away when required to support the sales strategy and will have a strong mix of the following skills and experience;

Able to drive sales to a plan and establish new customers within a defined territory
Able to maximise existing accounts and develop relationships
Good data accuracy and presentation
Good level of numeracy and IT skills with solid written and oral communication skills
Good commercial awareness
Willingness to travel when required with some overnight stays.
Any experience of interior products for a commercial customer base would be ideal, such as furniture, flooring, lighting etc.
