Our well established client, based in Blackpool, is seeking a Key Account Manager to drive forward their products into multiple outlets and develop new business and also increase sales in their existing accounts.

This job will involve approximately 2.5 days per week based in the Head Office in Blackpool, making calls to Head Office company contacts and arranging business meeting; the remainder of the week, you will be attending the meetings. This is a Nationwide role, so does require someone who lives close enough to Blackpool (1 hour travel distance) but is happy to travel Nationwide.

Role responsibilities:

The role will be to manage key accounts via the Head Office. These accounts will be organisations with multiple outlets and therefore a high level of demand for our products.

Typical examples would be Retail, Leisure, Petrol, and Fast Food.

Existing accounts include Asda, Co-op, Sainsburys, Spar, Wetherspoons, Odeon, Vue, McDonalds, KFC, Burger King.

The role will be to develop sales to these existing customers by broadening the range of products they buy from us, including designing bespoke products for them (as we have done for e.g McDonalds, Boots, Coca-Cola, Starbucks).

The other key demands of the role is to sell our products to organisations that should be key accounts but currently are non-users.

* Following up and conversion of sales enquiries produced from our extensive marketing programme and also self generated by the Key Account Manager.
* Working both in the field and from HO to maintain contact with existing key accounts at head office level to develop their accounts.
* prospecting current non user key accounts.
* We manufacture a high quality product, so the best sales aid is the product itself, which you will demonstrate to customers.
* Be inquisitive to identify customer's needs and have the ability to offer informed solutions
* Assist in developing new concepts and bringing new products to market.
* Be a credible and trusted source of industry and product information for customers
* Interpret sales reports and identify market and product opportunities.
* Participate in team sales meetings and share product / market knowledge beneficial to the rest of the team.
* Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
* Formally sales trained with good administrative, organisational and time management skills.

PACKAGE: - £39,420 Basic + £9,400 p.a. bonus subject to sales performance.

TRAINING: Initial 4 weeks based in Blackpool and on the territory.

MISCELLANEOUS: Sales meetings held in Blackpool on a quarterly basis.

IDEAL LOCATION: Lancashire or Greater Manchester (within 1 hour's drive of Blackpool).
