Legal Assistant, Property Finance

Lovely job with a lovely Firm

Our Client, a large Law firm seeks an experienced person to act as a legal assistant in the property finance department - to include corresponding with clients, other side solicitors, Land Registry and Companies House. To include drafting, making applications and responding to all correspondence.

Key responsibilities:-

• To open files – physically and on the system;
• To draft mortgage documentation;
• To forward documentation onto clients and to provide a brief summary in relation to same;
• To chase other side solicitors;
• To forward documentation and requisitions to the other side solicitors;
• To provide other side solicitors with completion statements;
• To provide other side solicitors and clients with completion letters;
• To draft occupancy waivers;
• To draft reports / certificates on title;
• To make land registry applications and chase land registry until applications are complete;
• To make companies house applications and chase companies house until applications are complete;
• To carry out land registry searches;
• To draft bills and pay them in;
• To request cheques and pay them in;
• To print, scan and copy whatever needs printing, scanning or coping;
Desired Skills and Experience

• Several years’ experience in a similar capacity with a Law firm or Commercial Lender
• Obsession with accuracy and compliance
• Team spirit mentality, but able to work independently
• Must live within easy travelling distance from Elstree, Herts.
