Data Migration Analyst Job spec:

To work with colleagues to :

* identify source data requirements
* assess source data quality
* define business rules for handling source data
* identify, document and validate target data requirements
* map and specify the required transformations from the source data to the target data
* validate data migration requirements with key users and stakeholders
* configure the staging area for conducting data transformation and fixing errors
* map source, staging and target data to each other including rules and transformations
* validate the data migration procedure
* design data cleansing/conversion/validation procedures
* validate data migration design specifications with key users and stakeholders
* test data migration procedures
* configure and populate staging areas
* cleanse data
* convert/transform data
* perform trial data migrations into staging
* perform data migration into production
* monitor the data migration service desk queue and respond to support issues promptly
* work with key users and stakeholders to identify and resolve data issues
* conduct a post implementation review of the data migration exercise
* support colleagues tasked with testing activities
* assist in the creation of a go live support package for the business, including floorwalking
* document post go live snagging issues and support the error resolution process as required Person Spec:
* you will have extensive knowledge of SQL/SSIS/ETL
* you will have a good, higher education qualification or equivalent relevant experience in an associated subject
* you will have a good working knowledge of migrating data to new systems
* you will assist in bringing order to each data migration phase
* you will help to ensure acceptance of each data migration phase
* you will present technical information in an audience appropriate way
* you will have a good general understanding of the data migration life cycle
* you will have a good understanding of various data migration strategies
* you will be able to add a valuable contribution when discussing best approach and risk mitigation
* you will be able to share your knowledge with others in order to increase productivity
* you will have a buoyant personality with a can do attitude to work in a highly challenging environment
* you will have a positive approach to change in general and be a positive influence on those around you
* you will be methodical in organising work across a broad ranges of business areas
* you will be friendly, approachable and presentable with excellent written and verbal communication skills

* you will have good interpersonal skills and be able to liaise with staff at various levels of seniority and understanding
* knowledge and/or experience of social care case management systems desirable
* experience with CareWorks RAISE and/or Corelogic MOASIC desirable

High Proficient in Excel
Experience of Information Systems
Working with large and complex data sets
Data analysis
