An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our client in Telford working within the warehousing team, in this role you will be responsible for performing the administrative and physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment for three business units based in Telford. The job involves occasional fork lift driving and delivering to customers so a current licence for both of these is required.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience working in an assembly / small parts stores environment. You will need excellent attention to detail as well as good communication skills (both written and verbal)

The ideal candidate will carry out the following duties and/responsibilities:

- Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders.
- Enters delivery details into computer system, labels and stores parts accordingly.
- Prepare paperwork, pack and ship goods in accordance with sales orders.
- Occasional fork lift use.
- Occasional delivery duties as required to our customers.
- Prepare kitting packages for assembly production and customers.
- Cutting metal from stock on our saw for the machine shop.
- Work within Company guidelines and policies to provide a consistent and professional approach, including compliance with Health & Safety requirements and current legislation.
- Experience in general computer skills including MS Excel is advantageous.
- Perform ad hoc tasks in relation to job role as considered appropriate by management/supervision.

The ideal candidate will hold the following skills and/or experience:

- Experience in shipping, receiving and stores, and reading, writing and basic arithmetic skills. Completion of high school, vocational training or equivalent is preferred. 1-2 years of related experience.
- Ability to apply acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
- Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature.
- Able to follow established procedures on routine work with guidance from the area supervisor as necessary.
- Confident in the use of Microsoft Office Applications
- A full clean Driving Licence and Fork Lift Truck Licence (Counter Balance) refreshed/certified within the last 3 years.

The working hours of this role are 39 per week spread between 07:30am - 17:30 Mon - Thu with half an hour for lunch and 07:30 - 13:00 Fri.

In return you will be paid an hourly salary of £9.00 per hour and this position is Permanent after a probationary period of 13 weeks.
