My client, who is based in Manchester, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

The company are a leader within their industry within the UK and their turnover is in excess of £10 million. The company pride themselves on developing and training their employees with most of the Senior Management, having started on the shop floor and worked their way through the company.
The company are looking to expand their work force due to continued growth and expansion.

The role:
The role will entail carrying out planned preventative maintenance and repair tasks.
You will be mainly carrying out maintenance on a range of different plant and equipment including injection moulding machines, machinery, furnaces, pipework, hydraulics systems, power presses etc.

This position offers on the job training for machinery and other areas where necessary and so it is a good opportunity to develop and learn new skills.

Person requirements:

• Mechanically biased Maintenance/Multi-skilled engineer
• Competent to work on all mechanical maintenance disciplines (e.g. hydraulic, pneumatic etc.)
• Hold relevant Engineering qualifications
• Proven background in problem solving/fault finding and resolution
• Flexible attitude
• Willing to learn new skills and develop throughout the company
• Able to work in a team and independently

Desirable skills:
• Ideally be familiar with 3 phase motors and 415 volt power supplies
• Able to fault find basic electrical machine faults

Salary for this position can range anywhere between £25k - £32k per annum, however is negotiable and this depends on experience and level of skill set.
