Conrad Consulting are delighted to be working with a dynamic family owned Architectural and Interior Design Studio offering specialist fit out and construction services to the Education, Commercial and Residential sectors. Our client create environments that skilfully reflect the values of their clients brand personality, and believe in creating inspiring places to improve lives. They are on the lookout for a creative Interior Designer to join their fast paced Bid Team in Leeds.

Duties of the Interior Designer:

* Produce drawings and presentations from inception to completion using relevant software
* Support the team with the production of information and the development of design and presentations as required
* Interpret initial brief into an appropriate design scheme, forming part of the overall project
* Liaise with consultants, clients, internal departments and suppliers to provide progress reports, to select fabrics/furniture/fittings/equipment and to ensure full awareness of all legal implications and decisions being taken
* Monitor and track fee schedule against accrual to bring each project within budget and monitor own work against programme regularly
* Support the Design Director with the supervision of the team, checking on the work of other interior designers to ensure compliance with building regulations and planning applications
* Administer one or more contracts simultaneously and have a full understanding of the contract being used and prepare, submit, negotiate and monitor suppliers' information, costing and standard of workmanship to the required level.
* In the absence of the Design Director, take responsibility for individual teams

Requirements of the Interior Designer:

* Interior Design Degree or equivalent
* At least 4 years post qualification experience
* Up to date knowledge of building regulations, planning requirements, legal issues directly affecting work as an Interior Designer and the ability to negotiate and approve building and planning applications
* Have an understanding and application of office programming and office costing requirements
* Knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, Photoshop, Sketch Up, PowerPoint
* Ability to multitask within a team environment
* Ability to work to timescales and budgets
* Excellent communication skills

Salary - up to £26,000
