Due to rapidly expanding business, our Head Office Service Centre based in Walsall is looking for a proactive and experienced Payroll Clerk to join its fast paced HR team.

Working from our Head Office in Walsall you will be an integral part of our Administration / Payroll team paying over 10,000 flexiworkers on a weekly basis.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE OF PAYROLL CLERK

To manage the administration function. Maintain & create accurate records of client and worker information to a database (STNet). Multi-tasking with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Collation and dissemination of documentation filing. Maintaining quality and ISO procedures, in line with Standard Operating Procedures, to ensure effective, positive quality audit results. This role involves good communication skills, as interaction between departments and personnel is of key importance. A team player with a good telephone manner, IT literate and diary management skills is also required.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF PAYROLL CLERK:

* To resolve any payroll queries (directly or indirectly).
* To liase with your colleagues via e mail and telephone, to ensure the correct and timely payment of wages.
* To ensure that all paperwork is filed logically and securely.
* Processing Attachment of Earnings deductions and payments, ensuring documents are kept up to date and payments made by the given deadline.
* Entering accurately information from our system on to any forms sent from Dept of work and pensions and the Inland Revenue.
* To process payments or dealing with any SSP, SMP and SPP payments and queries.
* To complete any references that is requested.
* To assist in other areas of the payroll dept as and when needed.
* To carry out any additional duties that they may reasonably be expected to perform.

* GCSE Grade C - Maths and English or equivalent
* NVQ level 2 Business Administration or equivalent
* Computer Literate - Payroll System(s) & Word and Excel.
* Awareness of PAYE and NI
