Business Intelligence Team Leader

I am working with a client in Bath who are looking to hire a Business Intelligence Team Leader to lead a small team of Business Intelligence Developers. You would maintain and develop a Business Intelligence solutions making use of the Microsoft stack.

As a Business Intelligence Team Leader your duties will include both leading the team of BI developers and developing BI solutions.

You will be experience in engaging with stakeholders as this is essential to fully understanding the business processes and what is required from a technical solution. You will be working largely with Microsoft BI technologies including SSRS, SSIS, SSAS SSRS and PowerBI.

My client use Deltek Vision for project reporting, experience in this area would be a benefit.

Role responsibilities and knowledge base/skill requirements

A firm understanding of Data Architecture/Enterprise Architecture
Data Solutions, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, DWH, Agile, SQL Server
An understanding of Interfaced systems/API's
Leading a team to both lead and offer guidance/mentoring.
To effectively communicate with stakeholders and to manage their expectations.
Strong Business Analysis skills particularly with regards to translating business requirements into solid technical specifications and having strong communication skills to support the process
Taking ownership of and leading SQL server Database Administration tasks to ensure maintenance, governance and change management processes is in line with the clients IT best practice.
Full software development life-cycle experience
Data modelling
Responsible for the Business Intelligence lifecycle
Implement and support the enterprise architecture best practice in the organisation. Ensuring an Enterprise Architecture lifecycle is applied as part of a project initiation and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Maintaining awareness of budgets, raising any concerns regarding budgetary or financial issues.

Advanced SSAS experience
Advanced SSRS experience
Strong T-SQL experience
Strong SSIS experience
A strong background working with SQL Server 2008R2, 2012, 2014 and 2016
Good relational and dimensional database skills including data modelling.
Good Experience with Kimball data modelling with star schema
A Strong Business Analyst Skillset including requirement gathering, analysis and solution design
Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture and Data architecture - Togaf 9 accreditation would be a benefit.
