Our client are a global leader in automatic entry solutions who are actively recruiting for two Field Service Engineers for the London area (within the M25).
The responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer role based in London are:
Carry out planned and preventative maintenance and other service activities on our client’s range of Products, including competitors.
Recommend improvements to the customer and provide quotations on prospective work such as; replacement of wear and tear parts to avoid breakdowns between service visits; upgrade's to improve functionality and the benefits of a 24/7 service agreement with the Company.
Able to conduct unplanned, proactive visits to known customers to check satisfaction and promote our capabilities and services.
Cooperation with the sales force so that potential sales leads outside of your scope can be captured and managed internally.
Complete e-Learning and module training to enhance your knowledge of Company products.
Responsible to maintain the Company vehicle, its stock and tools in good working order.
Responsible for accurate time sheet reporting, detailing job numbers, travel time, label equipment and complete door assignments.

The successful Field Service Engineers will have the following attributes:
Education in electrical, mechanical or hydraulic training is preferred
Qualified to BS7036 and or EN16005 standard
Demonstrable field service experience within the automatic door industry
Responsible, reliable, punctual and trustworthy
Results driven with initiative to problem solve and come up with new ways of working.
Eager to learn and develop new skills both technical and sales related.
Full driving license, other operating licenses are also of benefit
Able to work on your own, managing your time and workload accordingly.
Develop good working relationships with other co-workers and customers.

Ability to work efficiently within a team and individually
Industry experience

You will receive full training on our client’s products as well as the mandatory qualification set by industry standards. A van with hand tools and power tools will be provided, as well as a mobile phone, PDA and tablet to carry out your duties.

This role has a 1 week in 4 call out rota, which contributes an additional £200 per month plus applicable overtime rate.
