This Primary SEN Teaching Assistant role is a long-term position. The school are looking for someone who can ideally start immediately but more importantly can commit from September for the whole of the next academic year.

You will be working closely with either one or a small number of students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing both academic as well as emotional support. It requires a strong mix of professionalism and caring.

The school you will be joining is large and varied in it’s student intake. They have many students with SEN requirements and very often social and emotional difficulties. They employ an inclusive approach to education and work tirelessly to ensure each and every one of their students are given every opportunity to reach their full potential. It is a well-run and stable school who offer extensive training and support for all staff.

Although your role will be very varied it is focused purely on the children. You will support those students with Special Educational Needs in the main classroom environment but also lead intervention sessions which will be either a 1-2-1 basis or in small groups.
