Are you a Project manager with a background in managing construction projects? Maybe you're a contractor tired of being dropped into projects and firefighting from day one? Would you like to be involved in the full project lifecycle on a variety of construction and improvement schemes, from feasibility through to project completion?

Our major client is responsible for managing and improving highways across the country through a wide range of improvement projects. They are looking for permanent Project Managers to assist them on these projects, taking a lead in managing on day-to-day basis, working in a matrix environment, and ensuring projects are completed to quality, safety and budgetary standards.

This is a great opportunity to own projects from cradle to grave for a major client, working with contractors and key stakeholders to make tangible improvements for millions of road users.

Successful candidate will have demonstrable project management experience, preferably in a civil engineering/infrastructure construction environment. Excellent organisational and communication skills are a must, with the ability to challenge existing approaches to delivery. A project management qualification or membership such as APM would be desirable.

In return, you will have an attractive holiday package, increasing on time served, an employer pension contribution and the facility for flexible working to suit your situation.

We have a fair and comprehensive selection procedure. It is our policy that there should be equal opportunity for and no discrimination against applicants on the grounds of gender, race, religion or belief, nationality, colour, pregnancy and maternity, sexual orientation, disability, age, marriage and civil partnership, union or non-union membership, socio-economic background or being a part-time or fixed term worker
