Main Responsibilities

Role Specific

  • Assists Buyer in dealing with issues arising with orders both internally and externally
  • Assists Buyer in placing orders, agreeing all details with buyer
  • Deals with warehouse issues and monitoring expected deliveries with BAA
  • Participates in meetings, offering suggestions, communicating with suppliers and ensuring orders are up to date, possibly attending meeting by themselves and feeding information back to Buyer
  • Manages BAA in their role of labelling, logging and organisation of samples/folders etc
  • Confirms all rough orders ensuring they are processed accurately
  • Oversees and checks all order amendments with BAA and PO Team
  • Shows good working knowledge of merchandising system using info gained to make decisions/offer suggestions
  • Completes comp shops/market research to benefit the department
  • Uses department sales information to proactively make suggestions to drive the department forward
  • With Buyers assistance manages BAA, delegating appropriately considering workload and experience of BAA and make suggestions to senior staff to improve this
  • Prepares thoroughly for meetings and presents confidently to team
  • Presents issues to Buyer with solutions and options
  • Builds strong relationships with suppliers, liaising on all order details
  • Assists Buyer/ design team in development of future product
  • Shows a strong awareness of fashion, current trends and a flare for developing product
  • Attends and contributes to trade meetings
  • Attends and contributes to supplier meetings and follows up key points with suppliers.
  • With Buyer, helps develop sports range
  • Strong understanding of order PO critical path and follows through quickly and efficiently
  • Any other duties as required
