We have a great new role for a Fraud Officer with experience of using Hunter and CIFAS fraud prevention tools with a basic knowledge and understanding of mortgages and consumer finance. Offering between £24-26,000 plus benefits and bonus, the position will be based in Chatham in Kent. The purpose of the role if to undertake risk based monitoring across the bank and its group entities compromising of daily reviews of the CIFAS and National Hunter databases, matching referrals that have been generated via the DPR underwriting system.

Responsibilities for the role of Fraud Officer

  • Screen matched referrals related to borrowing applications using the National Hunter/CIFAS fraud detection tool/systems across the group
  • Ensure all cases that require investigating are evaluated within agreed service levels
  • Compile accurate management information in relation to Hunter/CIFAS
  • Ongoing input into the local matching system within Hunter
  • Analysis of quarterly credit retro outputs and related actions
  • Contribute towards the development of credit risk and related policies, procedures and standards
  • To assist the Group Head of Strategic Credit Risk Relationships with the oversight of the Bureau Errors report

Experience required for the role of Fraud Officer

  • Experience working in the mortgage sector would be highly desirable however other lending backgrounds will be considered
  • Exposures to fraud monitoring within new business lending applications stages, would be highly desirable
  • Previous experience working with a fraud risk management tool such as Hunter, SIRA or CIFAS is essential

Salary: Between £24-26,000 plus benefits and bonus
