Brook Street has been chosen as a recruitment partner to central government and the public sector to hire temporary admin and clerical workers for departments across the UK.

If you're a skilled administrator looking for a step-up, we are currently recruiting on behalf of a local government department for a Programme Support Officer (PMO) in Central London. This is an ongoing, long-term temporary assignment, working (Monday to Friday/9-5/37 hours) and many of these opportunities offer a significant pay increase on completion of 12 weeks in the same department.

Please see below for details of the job role:

* Experience of managing and logging risks and issues in a project environment, including the maintenance of RAID logs and production of data extracts from RAID logs.

* Knowledge or experience of MIS reporting, including the production of ad-hoc reports from a variety of sources - sometimes at short notice.

* Experience of collating, recording and reporting on project and staff costs, preferably in a UK government environment.

* Experience of supporting meetings, including secretariat role.

* Experience in using MS Outlook, Word and Excel. Advanced Excel skills would be an advantage.

Minimum of 35 days holiday (pro rata) following 12 consecutive weeks in the same department

Typical qualifications and experience required:

Five GCSE passes at Grade C or above

Two 'A' level passes at grade E or above or equivalent

NVQ Management Level 3 or 4 (or suitable management experience)

Good knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office

Management experience in an office environment

Excellent communication skills both oral and written

*A clear basic DS security check is required. This will cost £25 and is refundable after 4 weeks in employment through Brook Street.
