Our client, a leading research company, based in Basingstoke, is currently hiring for a Business Development Manager with a proven track record of success to help support further success and growth.


* Developing a strong pipeline to hit and exceed sales targets. Sales of ad-hoc reports, annual subscriptions and consultancy services will primarily be made via telephone contact, with occasional field trips and conference engagements.
* Maintaining and increasing the value of new subscription accounts. This activity will require ongoing engagement with new accounts, further building the client relationship and effectively cross/up selling.
* Building and maintaining a full pipeline of leads and opportunities, for sales campaigns and high priority target accounts.
* Working with Marketing and the Analyst team to achieve team and company goals.
* Contributing to the annual sales plan detailing account strategies and resource requirements.
* Keeping senior management up to date on sales performance, lead generation and the status of key accounts on a regular basis.


* Experience of developing new B2B sales over the telephone, consistently meeting sales targets.
* Experience of engaging with high level decision makers, ranging from Directors and Heads of Departments to C-level Executives.
* Experience of selling within the Financial, Media and Telecommunication sector would be an advantage.
* High level analytical and numerical skills.
* IT and Web literate - with a minimum of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
* CRM experience, ideally with Salesforce.
* A quick learner, who is motivated, pro-active and organised.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at a senior level.
* An enthusiastic and friendly team player.

This is a full time permanent position, working Monday-Friday, 9am-5.30pm.
