Our rapidly growing client is looking for full-time Trust Administrator to join their successful team based in Ipswich.

They operate a multi-disciplinary practice that brings the skills of Solicitors, Accountants, Chartered Tax Advisors and Chartered Financial Planners together under one roof to provide a holistic range of traditional and specialist estate and tax planning solutions to clients nationwide.

Purpose of Role
You will be responsible for all activities related to trust review and trust maintenance;
Preparing trust accounts for review.
Preparing relevant paperwork related to a trust review, such as minutes of meetings.
Preparing trusts tax returns.
Dealing with HRMC enquiries.
Preparing trust R185 forms for beneficiaries, preparing inheritance tax (IHT) computations and returns.
Preparing computations for Capital Gains Tax, dealing with trust and estate administration issues including liaising with trustees, banks, beneficiaries, stockbrokers and HRMC. Preparing cheques, writing up cash-books, letters and phone calls as appropriate.
Setting up work papers, files, monitoring receipt of information and chasing for missing papers.
Personal tax compliance.
Attending marketing and networking events.

Hours of Work
Monday to Friday 09:00hrs – 17:30hrs

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be someone who has a genuine interest in Private Client. We are looking for candidates with and without experience. You must have the desire to grow your career within Private Client and committed to a personal journey of training and development to achieve role specific legal qualifications.
Preferably educated to degree level with a keen interest in law.
Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
A good understanding of trust accounting and taxation preferred but not essential.
Organised with a high degree of attention to detail.
A spirit of co-operation and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
Able to prioritise and ensure deadlines are achieved.
Ability to use initiative and to work well under pressure.
A good team player who is willing to learn from others and share ideas.
A professional telephone manner.
The flexibility to work outside normal office hours may be required from time to time.
The ability to deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external clients.
Good IT skills (Microsoft outlook, excel, word)
