Digital Communications Manager: An experienced, energetic Digital Communications Manager is required to maximise the impact of the organisation's existing digital channels in building prompting a Christian understanding of society. Joining this not-for-profit organisation, you will share a passion for their Christian values and understand existing digital audiences, increasing engagement in line with strategic communication objectives.

As the Digital Communications Manager, you will extend the organisation's reach, developing existing offerings as well as creating new platforms and channels.

The ideal Digital Communications Manager will have technical copywriting ability, being able to create and edit content. They will also oversee and analyse the digital communication channels whilst developing strategies designed to increase the organisation's impact.

*Oversee all content for digital channels from planning to delivery - plan in line with communication objectives, produce required content and decide on the priority and timing of its placement
*Post across digital channels, including website, email, social channels, multimedia channels (YouTube, SoundCloud), app channels (PrayerMate), as well as utilising digital advertising to maximum effect
*Plan and produce email products - send out MailChimp emails at least once a week to the organisation's 45,000-strong audience, plan and edit email products in accordance with objectives and forward planning calendar
*Improve audience understanding - identify and report on relevant metrics, implement testing and improve methodologies across channels
*Optimise tools for continual testing and development
*Improve internal processes for digital communications management - deploy planning tools and matrices, improve management of 'story arcs' and improve liaison with other internal stakeholders
*Message development - improve the consistency of messaging across channels, input into development of organisational 'key messages' and liaise with those responsible for offline communication channels to ensure consistency in messaging and strategy
*Manage the digital communications team
Skills and Experiences:
*Educated to degree level, or equivalent experience
*Proven experience understanding and growing digital audiences, using analytics, and deploying measurement, testing and improvement methodologies to increase reach and impact
*Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - able to tailor the organisation's messages to different audiences, provoking interest and prompting action
*Excellent attention to detail, able to proof-read, check facts and accurately express material
*Passionate about the organisation's campaigns and legal cases, and willing to represent them
*Willing to work flexibly including working / being 'on call' out of normal office hours, from time to time

*Experience in Journalism / Marketing / PR
*Experience developing new digital channels / platforms
*Understanding of the organisation's main ethical issues
*Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite products, HTML, CSS and website development
*Good image, video and audio editing skills
