have a strong customer base including Rolls Royce and Siemens.The RoleThis fantastic Trainee Engineer / Junior Toolmaker / Bench Fitter / Assembler role is an exciting opportunity for someone who has ideally, fairly recently, completed a BTEC, A level, NVQ or apprenticeship in an engineering discipline, to work within a busy & growing dedicated toolroom, manufacturing high precision, one-off tools for use on non-conventional machining processes.
Hours for this role: Basic of 37 hours per week working approx 2pm - 10pm Mon - Thu and 1pm - 8.30pm FriThe CandidateAs the successful Trainee Engineer / Junior Toolmaker / Bench Fitter / Assembler any experience of the following would be advantageous but not essential:
Conventional manual machining – Surface grinding, cylindrical grinding, jig boring, milling, turning.
Sub assembly & bench fitting of precision tools.
Experience of CNC would be advantageous
Also required is:
Good knowledge of manufacturing methods
Good level of education
A logical and analytical approach to problem solving
Seeking a position within a technically demanding and challenging environment
Being highly motivated, confident, and organised with keen attention to detail
Ability to absorb technical information quickly and being able to perform tasks whilst under pressure
Effective communication skills
A good team player
A flexible approach to work along with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
Good level of numeracy and literacy
