Chapter 1 is a charity and Registered Social Landlord that provides a range of housing and varied support services to vulnerable people through a dedicated team of staff located throughout England. We work in partnership with 29 local authorities and have a growing network of over 50 projects across the UK.

Position: Deputy Service Manager
Location: Exeter
Hours: Full time, 37.5 per week
Contract: Fixed term, 18 months
Salary: £20,788 - £22,841

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Full-time Deputy Service Manager for the Grapevine Centre at Exeter. This role is initially offered as an 18 month fixed term contract. The Grapevine Centre is a housing project primarily for pregnant mums and single parents aged 16 and over but also houses single young people. The project offers low-medium support to its clients for a maximum of 2 years.

You will work closely with the Service Manager to ensure that our young people are provided with a homely environment as we support them in becoming independent.

You will work predominantly Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm but some flexibility may be required to meet the demands of the service. Additionally you will participate in an on-call rota.

About you:

The successful candidate will have proven experience working with young people and will be able to problem solve in pressurised situations. You will have knowledge of safeguarding and be able to demonstrate a proactive and motivated approach to your work.

A Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced Certificate will be required for this post.
