We are currently looking to recruit support workers to assist service users with learning disabilities and complex needs, living in a stunning rural residential service near Dawlish. Working as part of a close team, we are looking for friendly and enthusiastic people who can help us deliver person centred services and make a real difference! Respect, dignity and choice are key aspects of the support we offer and you will be in position to help people really enjoy their home and local community.

As a support worker, you will be required to enable people in personal care tasks, making simple meals and snacks and accompanying in a range of leisure and social opportunities e g small holdings, craft-work, shopping, theatres, swimming, walking and holidays. We are keen to support flexible working arrangements and full and part time opportunities are available over 7 days a week; 24 hour periods: inclusive of day, waking night and sleep in duties. Experience preferred but not essential as a range of training is provided. Driving licence would be an advantage.

We have vast experience in supporting people who have previously challenged services and require very high support needs. People who once lived in hospital settings now live successfully in their own homes and have become valued members of their communities. We achieve this by delivering support that values and builds on people's interests, skills and abilities, promoting self-esteem, dignity and respect.

We provide and resource a wide range of training programmes which are made available to staff. Working towards this nationally recognised standard of excellence has created a positive learning culture within our organisation and as a result we have an excellent record in developing our staff team.

We are also an accredited centre with the following Awarding Organisations; OCR, and Royal Society for Public Health. Through these partnerships we are able to offer a diverse range of qualification opportunities within a number of vocational areas including;

We also offer a number of Apprenticeship options throughout different services in Cornwall, Devon, Plymouth and Torbay. You can choose to access Health and Social Care, Business and Administration, Team Leading or Management.

We ensure that the correct training is provided to all staff, based on their needs, and the needs of the services they work in. All staff are able to access specialist external training, where necessary, to further develop their skills and confidence in supporting people with learning disabilities and mental health needs.
