This manager's assistant/deputy manager vacancy is with a care provider that has over 30 years' experience in successfully providing high quality care through nursing and residential homes. The group own and run over 10 homes in the Hampshire area and pride themselves on the standards they have.

This nursing home provider are specialists in caring for those with dementia, palliative care and general nursing of the elderly frail. This group have an amazing outlook on staff and believe that a good home would not be possible without good nurses and provide great opportunities for their care and nursing staff to develop, progress and enjoy working at their company! This particular manager's assistant/deputy manager position is with their flagship home in Portsmouth, Hampshire. They are looking for an experienced nurse with a passion for elderly care and a drive for high standards. The home is a state of the art, purpose built, 50 bed nursing home for residents with dementia, physical disabilities, complex care and general elderly nursing. The home has a fully compliant CQC and has an absolutely incredible reputation for such a new home in the community. Requirements

* Registered General Nurse (qualification and active NMC PIN)
* Previous management/supervisory experience of at least 2 years
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
* Team player
* Genuine interest in working with the relevant Client group
* Satisfactory DBS and check against the ISA List
* Previous Care for the Elderly experience / qualification

The role

* Oversee/maintain the care of Residents within the Home and in the absence of the Home Manager
* To take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Home
* Ensure that all Company policies and procedures, and all legal requirements are adhered to within the defined timescales
* Manage and oversee all staff - including training
