  • Carry out routine and scheduled maintenance repairs to properties including but not limited to: General everyday plumbing and carpentry repairs.

  • Painting.

  • Re pressurisation of gas combination boilers.

  • Changing of lamps and bulbs

  • Carrying and disposal of rubbish and work cuttings from empty properties/ general estate to secure compound.

  • To carry out general repairs to properties as needed during the occupancy of the units.

  • To undertake general multi-trade repairs and maintenance to FVHA dwellings and their surroundings.

  • To carry out cleaning and repairs to void properties before re-letting.

  • To carry out renovations and upgrades to occupied and unoccupied dwellings as directed by the property services manager.

  • To report all repairs and maintenance work required which is beyond the competence of the post holder.

  • To liaise with the Property Services Department and residents to gain access for repair work.

  • To respond to emergency calls when directed by Property Services staff.

  • To operate an emergency repairs out of hours service on a rotational week on week off basis.

  • To prioritise work in order to complete assignments in a timely manner. Perform routine inspections of property to check for  maintenance problems.

  • Complete daily work record timesheet and work order job sheets. Complete other related paperwork as directed.

  • Keep track of receipts for items purchased for each job - obtaining separate receipts per job where possible. Noting on each receipt the job number, address and description of items purchased and submit receipts to office on at least a weekly basis with each week's time sheet.

  • Hours Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4pm 1 hour lunch flexibility to cover emergencies at weekends on a rota with team (this is paid as overtime)
