Business Analyst

Our client are looking for a business analyst to join their growing team. As our business analyst you will have an important role in defining systems and products for our customers and then working to ensure the successful delivery of the defined solutions alongside our project managers.

Our client are one of the North of England's fastest growing digital agencies, working with hundreds of businesses around the world - from the world's largest organisations to some of the UK's most exciting start-up businesses - to produce cutting edge digital products and systems.

Roles and responsibilities

1 Working with the sales team and both new and existing customers to understand their business, their challenges and their opportunities.
2 Produce wire framed layouts of technical products and systems, turning them into clickable prototypes and presenting them back to the businesses.
3 Producing user stories, functional specifications for the project and documentation to brief designers, developers and project managers on the agreed system requirements.
4 Testing the system during development to ensure that the work being delivered aligns with the agreed requirements.
5 Producing user manuals and occasionally running training sessions with customers to ensure they are able to use the developed systems.

The skills and attributes you will possess

1 A creative and logical mind, with the ability to quickly understand business problems and the vision to quickly arrive at the required solution.
2 Confidence when speaking with customers and with internal team members.
3 Excellent communication skills, and clear and concise written and spoken English.
4 Great attention to detail.
5 An understanding of user experience on mobile and web based platforms.
6 Ability to prioritise workload effectively.
7 An eagerness to learn, gain new knowledge and progress is a must.
8 Superb time management skill.
9 Extremely organised at all times.

Extra credit

1 Experience of manual or automated software testing.
2 Experience in producing wireframes of digital products and systems.
3 Knowledge of Google Docs, Jira, Slack, Invision, Balsamiq Mockups (or other wireframing tool), Browserstack, Selenium or other testing tools.
