Premier Pathways Maths PGCE Overview

The Programme is split into three phases with support given to you throughout.

The first 2 terms will allow you to develop your pupil interaction skills in a Teaching Assistant or Learning Mentor role. As a Graduate Trainee Teacher at this school your role will include supporting the class as well as teaching in small groups of students.

During the final term of year 1, the Trainee English Teacher will be given a 50% timetable. This will introduce you to planning lessons and marking books at a pace that is manageable. You will then have the opportunity to observe other lessons at the school to enhance your own.

The final and second year sees you take an 80% timetable at the school. You will be supported by an academic mentor at the school and given three University Training sessions at the University of Buckingham.
