We are looking for a telecoms Quality Manager to work on a permanent basis in the Manchester area.

Salary is c£35-40,000 per annum

The role will be concerned with monitoring and advising on the performance of the quality management systems, producing data and reporting on performance, measuring against set standards

The successful candidate will aim to ensure that our products and services are fit for purpose, consistent and of the appropriate quality to meet both external and internal requirements. This includes legal compliance and customer expectations

The job holder will need to liaise with other managers and staff throughout the organisation to ensure that a new quality management system (consistent with ISO accreditation) is effectively implemented and functioning properly. Where appropriate, they will advise on changes and how to implement them and provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality standards

Core Deliverables

* Devising and establishing the company's quality procedures, standards and specifications
* Implementing a new and appropriate quality management system
* Working with PMO staff to ensure data captured is accurate, informative and project specific to ensure reporting and compliance.
* Working with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure quality driven initiatives support and promote a positive health and safety culture
* Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers
* Setting standards for quality as well as health and safety
* Making sure that internal processes meet international and national standards
* Looking at ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency
* Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operations staff
* Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures
* Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data, utilising Key Performance Indicators and producing statistical reports
* Making suggestions for changes and improvements and how to implement them
* Using relevant quality tools and making sure managers and other staff understand how to improve the business
* Making sure the company is working as effectively as possible to keep up with competitors.
* Ensure an internal Audit programme is implemented to verify adherence to the quality management systems, ensuring standards and specifications are being met and ensuring corrective actions are applied where this is not the case.
* Co-ordinate continual improvements of the QMS, ensuring that evidence of corrective and preventive actions taken are recorded and reviewed.
