Operations Manager required for worldwide manufacturer that have grown from a family ran business. This an opportunity to play an integral part within a business that still truly values its staff.

The successful candidate will be confident closely with logistics, supply chain, procurement and production departments and be confident planning and forecasting.

Within this role you will be responsible for overseeing production, this will involve planning and forecasting, working closely with the senior management team and streamlining the company’s current systems. The role will involve reviewing KPI’s and ensuring production targets are hit. You will have responsibility over the department’s budget, you will monitor stock levels and forecast materials required.

The company are looking to standardize their current product range which means stepping up production, you will also manager large scale, individual projects alongside this.

You will work closely with the fitters on the shop floor, you will also manage the stores and after sales team. You will be responsible for the hiring, firing and training and development of the team. You will use an ERP/MRP system to forecast and manage production. Those with experience of lean manufacturing techniques will be at a strong advantage.

The role:

The person:

* Experience of production planning/forecasting

* Confident working with MRP/ERP systems

* Strong management experience

* Ideally you will have knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
