Lecturer – Electronics (possibility for some Engineering)

Full Time and Part-time positions available,

Academic Salary: £23,255 – £33,347 (Salary dependent on qualifications and experience)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated lecturer in Electronics (with some Engineering teaching) to work in a friendly and supportive team in a thriving and forward-looking department.

Working in state of the art laboratories, you will have the skills to teach towards GCE ‘A’ level Electronics and possibly contribute to the BTEC Level 3 Engineering. The Engineering qualification includes a broad range of fundamental units which can be tailored to a specialism. Teaching and learning in both these areas is very strong and recruitment is growing in the physical sciences in line with the national STEM agenda.

We work closely with an innovative STEM Academy, local schools and industry, and have a record of outstanding achievement. Candidates should also expect to act as a Personal Tutor.

Ideally candidates should possess a good honours degree and a teaching qualification. Experience of employment in the electronics and engineering sectors would be advantageous. The College is very supportive of new entrants into the teaching profession and we are therefore willing to consider applications from graduates who are willing to undertake a supported PGDE as part of their professional development.

A relocation package of up to £2,500 is available subject to criteria.

Benefits include: a defined benefit pension scheme (including life assurance), free on-site car parking, various local business staff discounts, on-site fitness suite, Refectory, Cycle to Work and Child Care voucher schemes.

If you have the relevant experience and qualifications and you are interested in the role then please email Andy a CV or call ASAP on (Apply online only). If you are not interested but may know someone that could be keen then please forward this advert on to them.
