My client is looking for a Fundraiserto contact supporters (and potential supporters) by telephone to talk about the Charity's work, challenges and goals and building strong relationships with them.

The role is office based!

Responsibilities:

  • To embrace the Charity brand, values and telephone fundraising ethos, treating everyone you speak to with dignity, respect and courtesy
  • Demonstrate empathy with the personal circumstances of the Charity's supporters (and potential supporters) and respond appropriately to their situation
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Charity's work, challenges and fundraising goals in the context of a range of telephone communication and fundraising activities
  • To adhere to telemarketing and Charity sector regulations and best practice guidelines
  • To treat confidential supporter data with the utmost integrity and according to the standards held by the Charity
  • To use telephone scripts as an integral part of your communication with supporters (and potential supporters)
  • To capture and record information about supporters (and potential supporters) accurately to a database
  • To meet financial fundraising goals, productivity targets and communication quality standards whilst ensuring a positive experience for the people you speak to
  • To maintain a working knowledge of the Charity's wider work to facilitate conversations
  • To provide feedback about scripts and marketing messages as required

Essential Attributes:

  • 6 months+ experience in telephone communications with customers
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Team-based working experience
  • Sound decision making
  • IT literate with working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Data capture experience
  • Quality Assurance experience
  • Delivering Charity focused services
  • Familiarity with data capture in conjunction with computer systems

The following attributes would be desirable:

    • Fundraising experience - telephone or face-to-face
    • Experience of working in an outbound telemarketing environment
    • Working to raise money on behalf of a charity

The role will be contracted for 30 hours per week with flexibility up to 40 hours based on shifts from 12pm till 8pm.
