I am currently recruiting for the position of Finance and Accounts Officer to work for a Charity based in Sheffield with national coverage. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Executive and Senior Management Team.

The main aspects of the role are:
*Oversee and ensure the running of the finance functions.
*Prepare and produce monthly management and annual statutory accounts ensuring they are compliant with SORP and relevant accounting standards.
*Work closely with the Administrator to review, develop and implement financial and administrative structures that facilitate the effective delivery of operational activity.
*Ensure records are maintained in accordance with the requirements of the Companies and Charities Acts and oversee quality and accuracy of all of data across the team.

The main duties will involve:
*Overseeing the purchases and processing purchase invoices for payment ensuring all invoices are matched up with delivery notes, invoices to be coded correctly and authorised.
*Raising sales invoices promptly using QuickBooks, following up on monthly statements where necessary and optimising settlement within timescales.
*Prompt banking of invoices, reconciliations of all bank accounts to be prepared monthly.
*Liaison with funders and other bodies, including HMRC, to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.
*Reviewing and developing finance policies and procedures appropriate for the Charity.
