My client has a national presence and advises both private clients and public sector institutions.

They have an excellent reputation and are now looking for a qualified solicitor to join their defendant personal injury team in Exeter.

This Defendant PI Solicitor role is broad. You will mainly be advising local authorities, their schools/academies/universities and insurers, commercial clients and their insurers, private care providers and NHS type clients.

You will be an accomplished PI solicitor with relevant PI/Insurance Litigation experience.

Your caseload will include advising on negligence, EL/PL, motor, vicarious liability, disease, defamation, breach of confidentiality, data protection, personal injury, and large loss.

Ideally, those with at least 3 years’ PQE are encouraged to apply, as are those with more experience. Coming in at mid-level to the team, you will ideally have experience of supervising and developing junior lawyers. If you don't have this experience already, then there will be progression opportunities to supervise others.

The successful defendant PI solicitor will be offered a salary (circa £36,000), plus fantastic benefits including pension, medical insurance, and 25 days holiday.

Solicitors with at least 3 years’ defendant PI experience are encouraged to apply, as are those with only claimant experience looking to cross over into defendant work.
