My client a reputable membership professional body is currently looking for a Head of Marketing to work at their Central London offices.
The role of Head of Marketing is to manage the marketing function, bringing ideas, structure, strategy and direction to the membership profile-raising efforts. This includes being responsible for marketing materials, submission documents, events, media relations, PR and awards.
Strategy & Plans
Help to identify marketing priorities and support commercial opportunities across the full marketing mix
Be proactively involved in projects to help devise and implement the most appropriate tactical marketing programmes, maximising the benefits of each available channel
Assist with the marketing research, customer insight and competitor analysis and help develop appropriate strategies to address issues arising as and when needed
Devise and manage tactical integrated marketing campaigns designed to raise awareness, deliver qualified leads for the business and add value to clients
Manage data for campaigns and prospect lists
Skills & Qualifications
Experience as a Head of Marketing, Marketing Manager for a trade association, professional body or other membership organisation.
A degree and a marketing qualification - preferably a CIM diploma would be advantageous
Experience in supervising and developing marketing staff
Be confident, articulate and able to communicate with all levels externally and internally
Robust, persistent, persuasive and assertive
Well-developed presentation skills
Proven writing skills in brochure copy, web content, advertising, direct mail and media relations
Microsoft Office suite - particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Relational databases and/or CRM systems
Email marketing systems
Web authoring and content management tools
Familiarity with Quark Xpress and Photoshop would be advantageous
