St Helens

Salary to £35,000 plus great bonuses

Hours 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday

Industrial Disease Solicitors, NHIL, RTA & EL PL Solicitors required for a busy thriving firm of Solicitors. As experienced RTA & EL PL Solicitors this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established reputable and prestigious firm of solicitors with an excellent benefits package based in the North West. We are currently seeking experienced Industrial Disease Solicitors, handling other disease case types e.g. Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome, Asbestos, WRULD etc. will be an advantage, RTA Solicitors & RTA EL PL Solicitors.

Industrial Disease Solicitors

Vetting new NIHL claim enquiries. To handle claims for industrial disease matters from initial instructions to trial. Handle a caseload of fast track or multi-track pre- and post- litigated industrial disease cases against multiple Defendants In particular Noise Induced Hearing Loss Claims, experience in handling other disease case types e.g. Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome, Asbestos, WRULD etc. will be an advantage

Preparing letters of claim, Portal claims, obtaining expert evidence, negotiating settlements.

Obtaining pre-action disclosure orders

Issuing proceedings, dealing with case management conferences, complying with directions and preparing cases for trial

Minimum 2 years PQE. Experience of handling industrial disease cases. Must be hard working, target driven and able to work effectively in a team

RTA & EL PL Solicitors

Effectively manage own case load

Investigate limitation, liability, causation and assess quantum

Advise clients and take initial instructions from them

Draft court documents where appropriate

Evidence gathering and negotiation work

Court proceedings/compliance with pre-issue protocols

Comply with office procedures

Issue proceedings and meet all deadlines accordingly

Ability to work as part of the management team

Supervisory experience/training/case management experience

Ability to communicate effectively with team managers/fee earners and all staff

Ensure Partner supervision occurs on any case where: a Part 36 offer is to be rejected after the issue of proceedings; liability trial; general damages may exceed £5,000.00; applications/fraud allegations/cases, which may have cost implications. This is not an exhaustive list and any case where a risk to the Firm or its reputation arises should be reported to a Partner at once.

Hold Legal Clinics to assist with file problems as required

Maintain relations with referrers

To attend Management Meetings and produce relevant reports as and when required etc.

Solicitor, Industrial Disease, NHIL, Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome, Asbestos, WRULD etc. will be an advantage. RTA, EL/PL, Road Traffic Accidents, Personal Injury, Fee Earners, Paralegals, ILEX,
